     Park Gyuri was a child star and made her debut as an actress when she was seven years old.  She is currently focusing on her singer career and is the leader for the popular Korean band, KARA.  When the band first started, it was Gyuri who came up with the band name.  The word KARA means "sweet melody" in Greek and the name was accepted by the other members.  Gyuri is currently studying Theatrical Broadcasting at Dongduk Women's University. 

     Gyuri is the oldest member and is a great leader for the band.  Gyuri looks after and protects her fellow members just like how a mother or an older sister would.  She has a nickname of "Princess Mirror" because she spends a lot of time in front of the mirror.  Aside from her talents as singer, Gyuri is smart, funny, and outspoken.
