     Aya Ueto made her debut as an actress when she was 13 years old in 1999 for the movie, Satsujinsha Killer of Paraiso.  She has won six awards in 2004 for her role in Azumi and has recently won two more awards in 2011 as the "Best Supporting Actress" for the TV series, Nagareboshi.  Aya would continued on as a solo singer after disbanding in 2002 from the Japanese girl band, Z-1.  She has released five albums and her last album was released in 2009 and is titled Happy Magic: Smile Project. 

     
     Aya Ueto is a talented artist who has won many awards and will most likely win more further down her career.  Her achievements seems to be overshadowed by other Japanese superstars such as Ayumi Hamasaki and Namie Amuro.  Aya is a great singer but i prefer her as an actress more. She did an amazing job for her role in Azumi and I would highly recommend it.
