     Charmaine Sheh was the second runner-up in the 1997 Miss Hong Kong Pageant and was signed by TVB shortly after.  Her breakthrough came in 2000 when she starred in "Return of the Cuckoo."  In 2006, Charmaine became the first actress to win two major awards at the TVB Anniversary Awards.  She was awarded as the "Best Actress" and "My Favorite Female TV Character" for her role in "Maidens' Vows."  She has also won the "Top Four Actresses Award" along with Ruby Lin, Vicki Zhao, and Crystal Liu.

     Charmaine Sheh started off her acting career with a lot of criticism because of her inability to act and her squeaky voice.  She overcame that hurdle and is now one of Hong Kong's most beloved and popular actresses. Throughout the years, Charmaine has really evolved as an actress and is capable of many different roles.  She has won countless awards and is one of the most recognized faces in Hong Kong.
