     Erika Sawajiri is a Japanese singer, model, and actress.  Her father was Japanese and her mother was an Algerian born French woman.  At the early stages of her singing career, Erika was signed with Sony Music Japan and was under the name as Kaoru Amane.  Her debut single under Kaoru Amane, "Taiyou no Uta (The Sun's Song)" shot to number 1 at the Oricon in two weeks.  She would release another number 1 single called "Free" but this time it was under the name "Erika."  Erika most successful acting role was in Japanese drama, "1 Litres of Tears." She played a girl who was suffering from a disease and her role made her an instant fan favorite.


     Erika Sawajiri has been inactive in the for a few years now.  During that time, she went to London and Australia to study English and spent time in Spain to study graphic design.  Erika had enjoyed early successes in her career and I hope she will make a comeback because she is too talented and too young to retire from the entertainment industry.

     Miyuki Ishikawa is Japanese pop singer and is best known by her stage name as "melody."  She began her singing career at the age of nineteen when she decided to move to Japan to pursue her dream.  In February 2003, she released her debut song titled, "Dreamin' Away" and released her debut album in 2004 called "Sincerely." Miyuki has produced a total of five albums.

     Miyuki Ishikawa had a great music career before announcing her retirement from the music industry in 2008 to pursue a new career as a fashion designer. She released her greatest hits album in 2008 called "The Best of Melody: Timeline."  It is unfortunate for melody. to end her career so soon because she has great vocals and a lot of potential.

     Kyoko Fukada is a Japanese singer and actress. She debuted as an actress in 1997 and released her first single in 1999.  Kyoko has produced four albums and her last album was released in 2002 titled, Flow: Kyoko Fukada Remixes. She is focusing on her acting career now and it is paying off because at the Yokohama Film Festival, she was awarded as the Best Actress for her role in Kamakaze Girls.  

    Kyoko Fukada has a huge fan base in Japan and has a nickname called "Fukakyon."  It was a good decision Kyoko to completely focus on her acting because during that time the Japanese music industry was dominated by Ayumi Hamasaki and Namie Amuro.  Kyoko is one of those girls who is pretty and cute at the same time.  She also has one of the sweetest and most innocent smile.
